December 17th - Ski/Snowboarding at C.O.P December 18th - Social Quiz (Canadian democracy) - Last day of reading for novel study (should be read by Dec.19th) - Practice lockdown 2:15pm December 19th - Math test (Area, Perimeter, Volume) - PJ Day - Potluck in 6-2 (see sign up below) - Visit to Mini Mall at 11:10am bring change to purchase craft and market items! - Last day of school before holidays *Join in the foyer Wed and Thurs for ‘Holiday’ Carols starting at 8:45am until 9am (ish). *Computation (+, - , x, \) and reading should be practiced at home each night Math - math test on Thursday on area, perimeter and volume. (study guide below). We are starting our look at patterns and equations. LA - Students should have their novels read by this Thursday. Written portion of the novel study (4 questions) is due on January 10th. Social - Quiz on Canadian democracy on Wednesday (study guide below) Phys Ed - we are Ski/snowboarding this week! Emphasis has been on perseverance and resiliency!

December 10th - Ski/Snowboarding at C.O.P December 12th - Science CSI Unit Test *Computation (+, - , x, \) and reading should be practiced at home each night Math - we are finishing our area, perimeter and volume pool project and starting our look at patterns. Math test next Thursday on area, perimeter and volume. (study guide below) Daily checks were sent home LAST FRIDAY To be signed and returned on Wednesday. Science - unit test on December 12th. Students were SHOWN the test in order to create a study guide and opportunity to gather their notes. Study habits and strategies were discussed. LA - we will continue our work in our novel studies. Students should have their novels read by the break so that they may begin answering the questions (see our blog for assignment handout). Written portion of the novel study (4 questions) is due on January 10th. Social - Artist statement for Norval Morrisseau's were due Thursday November 28th - SOME STUDENTS ARE STILL NOT DONE! December 12th - Science CSI Unit Test *Computation (+, - , x, \) and reading should be practiced at home each night Math - students are learning about area, perimeter and volume. They will be completing an activity to represent their understanding this week. Science - students are completing their look at Crime Scene Investigation this month. They write their unit test on December 12th. Students were SHOWN the test in order to create a study guide and opportunity to gather their notes. Study habits and strategies were discussed. LA - we will continue our work in our novel studies. Students should have their novels read by the break so that they may begin answering the questions (see our blog for assignment handout). Written portion of the novel study (4 questions) is due on January 10th. Social - students just finished their Norval Morrisseau assignment and are finishing up their exploration of the 3 levels of government. Artist statement for Norval Morrisseau's were due Thursday December 28th - SOME STUDENTS ARE STILL NOT DONE! Please check Powerschool Phys Ed - emphasis is on personal and skill development this month. Students are reminded that they needed to be changed and ready to participate in class each day. Sportsmanship and fair play are still areas of growth for 6-2. |
