November 29 - Tuesday schedule Period 1,2,3 *RED FOLDERS WENT HOME AT INTERVIEWS, IF YOU COULD NOT ATTEND - THEY WILL BE SENT HOME ON MONDAY *CARD BOXES NEED TO BE RETURNED BY FRIDAY NOVEMBER 28th *Still missing Ski/Snowboard forms! THESE ARE DUE ASAP! Thank you to all of the families who attended interviews! Consistent themes were that students need to reading daily and practicing computation skills. Also, don't forget that students have access to IXL Math! https://ca.ixl.com/signin/willowpark Math - our focus this week will shift to shape and space - area and perimeter Science - we will continue our look at crime scene investigation LA - we have started our novel study assignment - Please see the assignment in our LA section! We are reading 2x/week (Tues/Thurs) which will shift to Monday/Wednesday in order to have further support from our classroom literacy volunteer! We will also be starting our next writing piece with learning how to story plan. Social - Students will be completing their artist statements for their Novel Morrisseau art work this week. Please see the assignment in our Social section! DUE THURSDAY NOV. 27th Phys Ed - we are working on sportsmanship, leadership and changing for Phys Ed this week Art - students will taking photographs on Tuesday to use for their next piece of writing! Students are invited to bring their own camera's from home, or use school technology.

Math - our focus this week is reviewing place value of large and small numbers as well as factors and multiples. We will be starting work in patterns and relations next Science - we have started our work in CSI with a look at fingerprinting, footprints, hair/fibre, firearms and bugs/bones in preparation of our field trip next Monday LA - we have started our novel study assignment - Please see the assignment in our LA section! Students have been asked to choose a book that will challenge their reading and expand their vocabulary. They must choose a fiction chapter book and will have 2 periods a week to read and complete this assignment (Tues/Thurs. are reading days) Social - we have started a new art project to demonstrate student understanding of the levels of government through the style of Norval Morrisseau. Please see the assignment in our Social section! Phys Ed - we are remembering to change for Phys Ed and are in wrestling for the rest of the week! Place value and saying numbers was covered today and a focus this week will be understanding and representing place value.
